It seems that .....

Pirates pitchers have an inordinate number of arm injury issues. If so, why? Is our arm-strength training regiman inferior in some way? Do we do long-toss, or not? One thing is for sure as it relates to all of this. Going back three, four, and five decades, MLB starting pitchers worked every fourth day. Most logged more than 200 innings without the injury problems we see today. Why is that? Are they coddled now more than yesteryear. Were many arm injuries just "pitched through".
