Bromberg fans 12

Stolmy Pimentel went the distance and David Bromberg fanned a dozen as Altoona took two.

Indianapolis was off, but the other three full-season affiliates all played two.

-- Altoona took two from New Britain. The Curve breezed to a game one victory, 7-1. Stolmy Pimentel threw a seven-inning, complete game three-hitter. The bad news is that he walked six and threw only 54 of 100 pitches for strikes. He fanned five. The only run came on a Miguel Sano sac fly. Jarek Cunningham went 3-4 with his twelfth HR and Justin Howard went 3-3. Carlos Paulino went 2-4.

-- The Curve took the second game, 3-1. Starter David Bromberg (pictured) fanned 12 over six innings. He allowed one run on two hits and three walks. Luis Sanz struck out the side in the 7th to pick up the save. Oscar Tejeda hit his first HR and Ali Solis went 2-3 with a double.

-- Bradenton dropped a pair to Lakeland. The Marauders lost the completion of the suspended game, 4-1. Nick Kingham, in his last Bradenton start, had thrown the first three innings before the rains came. Zack Dodson pitched the last five, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk, with no strikeouts. The Marauders had only three hits. Gregory Polanco went 2-4 and Alen Hanson 0-4.

-- The Marauders lost the regularly scheduled game, 3-2. The game went into the bottom of the 7th in a 2-2 tied, but Joan Montero, after retiring the first two batters, allowed a walk and two singles to end it. Hard luck starter Eliecer Navarro allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk in six innings. He fanned four. Willy Garcia provided the two Bradenton runs with his eighth HR and fourth in seven games. Hanson and Jacob Stallings each went 2-3. Polanco went 0-3.

-- West Virginia split a doubleheader with Delmarva. The Power took game one, 3-1. Clay Holmes allowed the one run in five innings. He gave up six hits and one walk, and fanned two. Holmes got twelve groundball outs and just one on a flyball. Ryan Hafner followed with two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out four. Hafner now has 53 strikeouts and only 25 hits allowed in 37.1 IP. Right-handed batters are hitting .089 against him. The Power had just four hits. Barrett Barnes and Dilson Herrera each went 1-3. Stetson Allie went 0-1 with two walks and Josh Bell 0-3 with two strikeouts.

-- In game two, the Power tied it 2-2 in the top of the 7th when Ashley Ponce and Max Moroff hit one-out, back-to-back doubles. Unfortunately, Thomas Harlan gave up four straight hits in the bottom half to tie the game, then gave up a leadoff HR in the 8th to end it. Starter John Kuchno gave up one run on two hits and three walks. He fanned four. Bell went 2-4 with a double and Allie 0-3 with two strikeouts.

-- The DSL Pirates1 lost to the Angels, 5-3. Tito Polo went 2-4. Julio de la Cruz went 1-2 with a walk.
