Sanchez, Hanson, Garcia continue to hit

Jeanmar Gomez had a mediocre rehab start, while Indianapolis and Bradenton put up a lot of offense

Altoona was rained out, but everybody else was in action.

-- Indianapolis lost to Durham, 10-7. The Indians had a 7-2 lead, but Graham Godfrey and Zach Thornton combined to give up eight runs in the 5th. Jeanmar Gomez made his first rehab start and allowed two runs, one earned, in three innings on three hits and three walks. He fanned three and threw only 36 of 64 pitches for strikes. Tony Sanchez (pictured) went 2-4 with his 18th double and eighth HR. He drove in three. Andrew Lambo went 1-3 with a double and a walk, Jared Goedert 2-2 with a triple and two walks, and Josh Harrison 2-5.

-- Bradenton split a doubleheader with Lakeland. The Marauders dropped game one, 7-6. Starter Robby Rowland allowed only two hits in five innings, but he walked four and gave up four unearned runs. He fanned three. Zack von Rosenberg gave up two runs in one inning. Alen Hanson, batting third with Gregory Polanco in Altoona, went 2-4 with his fourth HR and three RBIs. Taylor Lewis went 2-4 with two triples and three runs scored.

A two-out triple by Eric Avila capped a three-run, 7th inning rally that tied game two, and Bradenton went on to win it, 9-5, in 11 innings. Avila went 2-5 with three RBIs, Willy Garcia 3-5 with a double and three runs, Dan Gamache 2-5 with a double, and Hanson 1-4 with two walks and two steals. Bradenton had 13 hits and 13 walks, but stranded 14 runners. The Marauders also survived six errors, two by Hanson. Emmanuel de Leon threw four scoreless innings to get the win.

-- West Virginia lost to Greensboro, 3-2. Orlando Castro gave up three runs, two earned, in six innings. He allowed six hits and a walk, and fanned four. Josh Bell went 2-4 with a double, Stetson Allie 1-3 with a walk, Dilson Herrera 1-4 and Barrett Barnes 0-3 with a walk.

-- The DSL Pirates1 trounced the Yankees, 9-1. Jose Regalado and Arquimedes Lorenzo, both of whom are old for the level, combined to allow one unearned run on two hits and a walk, with eight strikeouts. Julio de la Cruz went 2-4 with two doubles. Pablo Reyes went 2-4 with his second HR and three RBIs, Yunelky Adames went 3-4 with his fourth HR and three RBIs, and Carlos Esqueda went 2-4 with a double.
