Props to Travis Sawchik

Here at Bucs Dugout we've spilled a fair amount of ink criticizing the writing of beat reporters and columnist employed by the Post-Gazette and Tribune-Review--rightly so in many cases. Thus it seems only fairly to in turn acknowledge the good work being done by those papers, specifically the recently hired Travis Sawchik (which is particularly impressive considering he was writing about the Clemson Tigers only a month or two ago). You can find his work at the Trib's Bucco Blog.

A recent example of what Sawhchik's been up to since coming aboard at the Tribe is the piece he penned this Sunday, a very fair consideration of the Pirates drafts under Neil Huntington. It not only studies the Bucs strategies, allocation of funds, and results thus far but actually provides context--comparing them to their NL Central opponents from 2008-2012.
