I expect most have heard that ARod has been suspended for all next season.. My question is do we think this helps or hurts the Yankees? ARod is no longer a 25 million dollar a year player, and the Yankees can better use that money to sign Tanaka or to just get under the $189 million dollar tax limit.
Also interested in what others think about ARod challenging this ruling. Seems very likely to me, but I would think someone advising him might have tell him that the chances of success are low, and that it is not worth it. Maybe not. He seems to have this impression that he is well respected in the baseball world by other players and by fans. I am not so sure - he was a great player, but seems to have a tin ear for public relations. KInd of like Pete Rose.
Finally; Hall of Fame - yes or no?
