The Pirates have re-signed shortstop Robert Andino to a minor-league deal. Andino ended last season with Indianapolis. Essentially, he's Clint Barmes, except that he's merely competent defensively, as opposed to being terrific. That makes him minor-league depth, although it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he had to fill in as a bench player at some point. He was a regular with the Orioles in 2011 and 2012.
