Having both insomnia and Netflix sometimes = seeing some mediocre to awful movies. Just watched Jack Reacher, having not prev been aware it was set in the 'burgh. Nice visuals of the ballpark, though it didn't play as significant role as it did in the egregious Tyler Lautner opus Abduction, which included exteriors, interiors and game action.
"The Next Three Days" didn't show PNC but did at least offer Russell Crowe in Pirate gear. And, while Deception didn't take place in Pittsburgh, the Maz HR played some significance
Gotta admit, I'll watch any movie with a Pittsburgh, or especially, a Pirate or PNC connection. And not for nothing, the city's great visuals (rivers, bridges, Mt. Washington make it ideal for cinematography.
I'm sure my New England neighbors would point to movies like The Town, Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone and The Departed and sneer at the above-listed 'burgh movies, but at least we can tell Cincy, Philly, StLou and Milw to suck it.
Any other movies I should be looking for (besides Striking Distance and Flashdance)?
