Community Prospect #13

Andrew Lambo is the Bucs' #12 prospect, collecting 37% of the vote. Let's be honest...that's pretty damn impressive. Last season, Lambo hit 33 combined home runs at age 24. His wRC+ in AA was 146 and it actually went up in AA to 153. He's a left handed hitter who is right now projected to be our opening day 1B in a platoon with the RHH Gaby Sanchez (so his transition to the bigs should be easier). He was a former top prospect, so he has a solid pedigree. And he's number 12. Maybe it won't work out. There are certainly some red (or at least yellow) flags there. If, however, he can mirror the success that the Cards have had with guys like Matt Adams and Allen Craig...that would fill a pretty big hole on this club for next to no money. If nothing else, it's exciting.

As requested I will be adding JaCoby Jones to the poll this round but if you want to vote for somebody else, you can do so in the comments. As always, there will be a section in the comments where you can still do +1 for "write ins." I'll count up the votes for any omitted player just to make sure we get the winners in the right spots. I'm thinking that I'll start off with 5 guys per poll but as we get deeper into the list we can expand it if there are lots of guys getting votes.

In the comment section, I'll put up a spot for other votes, testers and (most importantly) community discussion. I'd like to get at least 30 guys on the list but would be willing to stretch it out as long as there seems to be some interest. There was some good discussion last time and I think it will get even better as we get into more hotly contested spots. So far we have:

1. Gregory Polanco

2. Jameson Taillon

3. Tyler Glasnow

4. Austin Meadows

5. Alen Hanson

6. Nick Kingham

7. Josh Bell

8. Reese McGuire

9. Tony Sanchez

10. Luis Heredia

11. Harold Ramirez

12. Andrew Lambo

*I'll try to do a better job getting these updated every day (busy weekend)
