Bucs Dugout Community Prospect List #24

Brandon Cumpton the Pirates' #23 prospect, collecting 41% of the vote, narrowly beating out Stetson Allie and staying in the lead long enough for me to publish this and name him the winner (unlike last time when he was passed up by Jhang). Cumpton doesn't have the same ceiling as some of the other guys on this list but he is a pretty high floor player. He had a strong debut for the Bucs last year and has been solid as a minor leaguer despite so-so peripherals. Probably a #5 starter/swingman type but certainly a useful guy to have in the system.

He's been brought up a few times, so I will be adding McFEAR to the poll this round but if you want to vote for somebody else, you can do so in the comments. As always, there will be a section in the comments where you can still do +1 for "write ins." I'll count up the votes for any omitted player just to make sure we get the winners in the right spots.

OK, so the opinion seems to be to stretch the poll out to 30 people. Opening Day is the 31st and that's my personal deadline for finishing. I can't promise that I'll get a new poll up every day but I'll make sure it's done by the 31st. There are still some very interesting guys to rank so keep voting and keep discussing! So far we have:

1. Gregory Polanco

2. Jameson Taillon

3. Tyler Glasnow

4. Austin Meadows

5. Alen Hanson

6. Nick Kingham

7. Josh Bell

8. Reese McGuire

12. Andrew Lambo

13. Stolmy Pimentel

14. Clay Holmes

17. Barrett Barnes

18. Blake Taylor

19. Cody Dickson

20. Michael De La Cruz
