-- Bradenton blew a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the 9th and lost to Dunedin, 5-4. Starter John Kuchno gave up two runs in five and a third innings and Thomas Harlan struck out four over the next two and two-thirds, but Robby Rowland gave up three while getting only two outs in the 9th. Jonathan Schwind went 3-4. Josh Bell was 0-4 with two strikeouts.
-- West Virginia blanked Delmarva, 7-0. Dovydas Neverauskas (pictured) gave up four hits, walked nobody and struck out two over five innings. Justin Maffei and Erich Weiss each reached base four times, with Maffei going 3-3 with a walk and Weiss 2-3 with two walks and a double. Weiss is now hitting 320/406/415, although he's fanned once every four ABs without hitting for much power. Reese McGuire went 1-3 with a walk, edging his average up to .280 after a slow start. Francisco Diaz hit his first HR.
