Some of the lists of Pirates prospects who've represented the Bucs in the Arizona Fall League in recent years have been uninspiring, but man, that's not the case this year.
#pirates sending 8 to Arizona Fall League: Glasnow, Kingham, Sampson, Tom Harlan, Josh Bell, Joely Rodriguez, Diaz and Dan Gamache
That's three of the Pirates' top five prospects in Bell, Glasnow and Kingham, plus two more top-20 guys in Adrian Sampson and Elias Diaz. And they'll all be playing for the same team (the Scottsdale Scorpions), so if you've ever had an urge to take a road trip to see some baseball in November, this is the year to do it.
Glasnow, Kingham and Sampson surely won't pitch more than a handful of innings apiece, and I would think Sampson (who's pitched over 160 innings this year) and Kingham (who's pitched over 150) would be pretty limited anyway. This is one reason the Pirates and other teams often don't send great prospects to the AFL -- the pitchers are often a bit maxed out in terms of innings.
