Stolmy Pimentel retired six straight for a two-inning save. Brent Morel and Tony Sanchez each went 3-4. Jeff Decker was 3-5 with his sixth HR. Robert Andino was 2-5 with his sixth HR. Chris McGuiness was 2-4 with his ninth HR. Gregory Polanco was 2-5.

-- West Virginia beat powerhouse Asheville, 7-3. Jake Burnette (pictured) made his first full-season start after struggling through a rehab at the lower levels and pitched well against by far the league's highest-scoring offense. He gave up one run on five hits and a walk in five innings, with four strikeouts. Henry Hirsch fanned five in two innings, but also gave up two runs. A day after driving in seven runs, Edwin Espinal was 3-3 with a double and his seventh HR. Francisco Diaz and Jeff Roy each had two hits, Reese McGuire hit his third HR, and Austin Meadows was 1-2 with a walk. JaCoby Jones returned to the lineup and went 1-5 with a triple.
