Starling Marte's 13-pitch at-bat against Bobby Parnell last Sunday was the longest of the week, according to Baseball Prospectus. It's a fun article that includes GIFs of each pitch -- showing how Marte keeps hacking violently even with two strikes.

It's talking about what rubes the Sawx are for trading away what they needed for what just broke down. Pretty good run down on what has changed from last year to this to make Melancon a much better pitcher.

Well, figured I'd post this here, always good to have more contracts to look to when it comes to locking in players and complaining/praising GM's. We don't seem to have any players that would be a very good comparison to Rizzo that seem like they need locked up now, but it's always nice to have more info.

I'm not sure if I need to say this, but I'm sure everyone likes the Hammer and all he did for this team, but I'm sure as hell glad he was traded away when he was.
