I still have nightmares about this game. Maybe next year, the Mets will make bobbleheads featuring a ball getting through Bill Buckner's legs. Or maybe the Marlins will make one of Steve Bartman interfering with Moises Alou. Those are the closest comps I've got off the top of my head... and neither of those happened in a deciding Game 7.
here ye here ye, let it be known that no matter how bad it looks, the rally Yoda shall signify that no matter the score, be it a sith invasion or just a mid may showdown vs the 90s pirates coached Tigers, the Rally Yoda shall lead us to victory
A few thoughts... -Does anyone know if Rudy Owens has seen an increase in velocity during his recent run of good starts? -I always feel that you guys are to hard on Hurdle with the bunting, but why oh why did you bunt Clint Barmes yesterday with no one out after 3 straight hits. No wonder we can't put together a rally. -It's a shame we couldn't of made a trade last year for Chris Davis. He looks to be in for a big year. -I am comfortable with trading Hanrahan around the trade deadline, but only if we get a player back who can fill one of our huge voids (1B, SS, C). If not, try to sign him. -Is it to early to talk Pedro extension? Ok I am getting carried away...
Alright thats one win down. I figure it's going to take another 88 to win this thing. Every time we win we peal a piece.
Opening Day, when hope springs eternal. This guy was sitting a few rows in front of me at yesterday's game.
