Asked if Angelos was responsible for nixing a deal, MacPhail responded, "No." He wouldn't elaborate further or provide details on why the talks appear to have hit a snag.
Riiiight. Adam Jones and Chris Tillman would be tremendous acquisitions for the Orioles. One would think that a decade worth of losing seasons and the continued erosion of his fanbase might convince Angelos that he should stay out of these types of decisions, but apparently not.
