Bay Not in Top 10 in MVP Balloting

Why isn't he there? Where's Van Slyke wants to know, and so do I. I like Pat Burrell as much as the next guy, but how does a guy who played worse defense than Bay and had an OPS 70 points lower than Bay finish ahead of him? Obviously, because he finished second in the league in RBIs. And what is Jimmy Rollins doing in there? The Good Phight has a poll posted that asks readers to name the MVP just of the 2005 Phillies, and Rollins isn't even one of the choices. Bay didn't deserve to win the award, but only a few players in the NL had a better season than he did.
