WTM on the Draft

WTM says a lot of the same things I just said about Lynchburg in this article about the Pirates' 2005 draft. WTM thinks the Pirates' recent interest in college players may be due in part to concerns about the middle levels of their minor league system, specifically Hickory and Lynchburg. This is a great read, so be sure to check it out.

Oh - and WTM says that Javier Guzman is 23, not 21, which makes him a much less interesting prospect than I thought he was when I was writing about him yesterday.
