Beasley to be Third Base Coach for Nationals

New, 1 comment

Via Nats Farm Report, former Altoona Curve manager Tony Beasley will be the third base coach for the Washington Nationals next year. Beasley coached for five seasons in the Pirates organization, managing at Altoona, Hickory and Williamsport.

Weirdly, just a few weeks ago, Beasley took a job as a roving fielding instructor with the Yankees. Here's what he said at the time:

"It's sort of like going from worst to first," Beasley said last night. "It's kind of weird to go from an organization that's really struggling--sort of the bottom of the bowl--to an organization that's on top of baseball."

Ouch.
