Ryan Howard has won the NL MVP award. I probably would've given the hardware to Albert Pujols, who was slightly better offensively and much better defensively, but I can't really blame voters for refusing to overlook Howard's 58 homers and the fact that he stayed healthy the whole year. I'm also somewhat impressed that voters would be willing to look past Howard's extremely high strikeout totals - although I'm sure that, when it becomes convenient to do so, the usual suspects will continue to bash the Craig Wilsons of the world for their strikeouts. In any case, Howard and Pujols both had pretty amazing seasons.
