This may not have exactly been a no-brainer entering the offseason, but it certainly became one the day the offseason started. $3 million (actually it's more like $2.75 million, since the Bucs would've had to pay a $250,000 buyout if they hadn't exercised the option) is a bargain price for Marte in this market. The Pirates will hopefully now look to trade Marte.
