-P- This isn't much of a surprise, but Brad Radke will officially retire tomorrow. Radke isn't a guy people talk about much because he isn't a very glitzy pitcher and because he's spent his entire career with the Twins, but he's always been a good one. He finishes his career with a 4.22 ERA, more than three times as many strikeouts as walks, and 148 wins.
-P- The Tigers have signed Jeremy Bonderman to a four-year extension worth $38 million. Given that Bonderman was going to be a free agent after the 2008 season, this is a good deal for Detroit. Other than Johan Santana, there isn't a pitcher in the AL who's likely to be better than Bonderman in 2009 and 2010.
-P- The Padres will sign Marcus Giles to an extremely cheap one-year deal with a club option, FOX Sports reports. Giles struggled a lot last year, but if FOX is right that he'll be paid less than $5.5 million in 2007, this is a steal for the Padres.
