It's been a busy day for the Dodgers, who just signed former Phillies catcher Mike Lieberthal to a one-year deal to be the backup to Russell Martin. Financial terms haven't been disclosed, but this looks like another fine move for the Dodgers - Lieberthal still has skills, but he's no longer reliable or durable enough to be a starter. As long as he doesn't interfere with Martin's development or wind up injured the whole year, he should be an asset.
