Santos Roughed Up Against Twins

Victor Santos, probably the Pirates' top candidate for either of the last two spots available in the rotation, was hit hard in the Bucs' loss to the Twins today. The Pirates lost, 8-5, despite homers from Jose Bautista, Nate McLouth and Gookie Dawkins (?!).

Of the Pirates' various back-of-the-rotation candidates, Ian Snell, Tom Gorzelanny and Sean Burnett are having the best springs so far. I'm not sure how much spring performance should mean, though, especially not for someone like Burnett, who would probably benefit from extra time in the minors no matter what happens.
