The Pirates designated Ryan Vogelsong for assignment and called up Jonah Bayliss to take his place. I imagine Vogelsong will be claimed by some team who thinks (probably with justification) that their coaching staff is better than the Pirates' and that Vogelsong can be fixed.
In addition, Oliver Perez has been moved to the bullpen. It appears Tom Gorzelanny will take his place, although no move has been announced yet.
