The Dodgers have traded reliever Danys Baez and infielder Willy Aybar the the Braves for infielder Wilson Betemit. Really good trade for the Braves - I'd probably have traded Betemit for Aybar straight-up. Aybar is three years younger and has hit well at both AAA and the majors this year, and Betemit is only a utility type of player, albeit a pretty good one. True, Aybar doesn't play shortstop, but Betemit has his drawbacks too - he doesn't hit lefties much at all. In Baez, the Braves also get an average reliever in the trade.
