I'm doing a Yahoo fantasy league, and everyone's welcome to join. Please contact me if you're interested and I'll send you the registration information. Last year's league had sixteen teams and was pretty awesome.
Here's the scoop. Please read these before you contact me. I can be somewhat flexible on some of the details, but I don't want someone complaining in mid-March that stolen bases aren't a category.
-P- The draft is Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 PM Eastern. I can change this if there's some massive groundswell against this date, but if you join the league, you're probably stuck with it. (Of course, you can pre-rank your players if you can't make it to the draft.)
-P- The categories are unusual. We're using OBP and OPS instead of stolen bases and batting average, and K/BB instead of saves. Sorry - lots of us just don't like playing in leagues where Juan Pierre is as valuable as Manny Ramirez.
-P- The league will be deep. I'd like to have 20 teams with large rosters. This means that if you need to get a player out of free agency, it won't be a superstar.
-P- For the first couple of days, I'll restrict access to the league to people who were in it last year and participated the whole year. Please go ahead and contact me now anyway - the league is bigger than last year, so I'll be able to let some newcomers in right away. But don't worry if you don't hear back from me immediately - I'm sure there will still be spots once that's done. I don't anticipate that the league will fill up anytime soon, but once it does, I'll post something here.
-P- Please contact me even if you were in the league last year - regrettably, I don't have contact information for everyone who played.
If all this sounds good to you, please get in touch.
