Finally, some injury-related news that's actually good:
Management is leaving the call up to the player, and Sanchez -- who had been targeting the home opener Monday -- said after playing in Class AAA Indianapolis' opener yesterday that he is "not sure if I'll stay through the weekend" to continue his rehabilitation assignment. More should be known today.
Based on Sanchez's strong performance in Indianapolis Thursday, my guess is that he will indeed join the team in Cincinnati. The thing is, Jose Castillo has actually been pretty fun to watch at second. It's probably absurd to make these sorts of judgments so soon when you're talking about a player with Castillo's history, but he looks like a different player. But that's the kind of week it's been - even Jose Castillo has looked good.
