Clemens makes his big-league debut in what might be the easiest transition from his minor-league assignments that he was going to get. Maholm is a pretty good bet to get smacked around today, I think.

There's news today, and it's bad: Salomon Torres has been placed on the DL with elbow trouble. Masumi Kuwata will replace him. The media circus that will ensue as the organization welcomes its first Japanese major leaguer will be exciting, but watching Kuwata get knocked around won't be.
