Blue Jays Claim Bryan Bullington

Remember that one good start Bryan Bullington had for the Indians, when he shut down the Red Sox and lots of Pirates fans worried that the Bucs had made some sort of mistake in dropping him?

Well, you can forget about that.

Also on Monday, the Blue Jays clamed right-hander Bryan Bullington off waivers from the Cleveland Indians. Last season, the 28-year-old Bullington -- the first overall pick by the Pirates in the '02 Draft -- went 5-9 with a 5.20 ERA in 25 games between stints with Triple-A Buffalo (Cleveland) and Triple-A Indianapolis (Pirates).

The Jays grabbed former top pick Adam Loewen from the Orioles, too; they'll try to convert him from a pitcher to a position player.
