In dumping John Gibbons, the Jays became the third team to dump their manager this week, following the Mets and Mariners. I wouldn't be shocked if GM J.P. Ricciardi were gone by the end of the calendar year--it just reeks of desperation to dismiss your manager, even a semi-controversial and unsuccessful one like Gibbons, and replace him with a guy who won two World Series titles for the same team fifteen years ago.
