Here for the off-day.

Donnie Veal starts for Indianapolis against the Louisville Bats (Reds).

Tim Alderson starts for Altoona against the Erie Seawolves (Tigers). If anyone is in Erie for the game tonight, I'd love to hear about Alderson's velocity.

Jeff Locke starts for Bradenton against the awesomely-named Brad Hand and the Jupiter Hammerheads (Marlins). Hand, a 2008 second-rounder who just turned 20, is younger than any player on the Marauders roster. Or the West Virginia roster, for that matter. (The Marlins tend to promote their players pretty aggressively. Hand has control issues that probably would have caused a more conservative team to keep him a level lower. The Marauders have been an offensive juggernaut so far this year, so this game could be fun.)

Kyle McPherson starts for West Virginia against, confusingly, Charleston (Yankees).

Altoona plays at 6:35; everyone else plays at 7:00.
