I don't want to be mean, but the Astros and Ramon Vazquez sound like a perfect match for each other. He's with them on a minor league deal. I'm not sure I even knew this, but he played a few weeks for the Mariners' Class AAA team before that.
In other news, the Dodgers signed Jack Taschner to a minor league deal, and he'll pitch for Class AAA Albuquerque. You'll remember that Taschner refused a minor league assignment from the Pirates a few weeks back, thinking that teams would see that his ERA was artificially inflated by one bad outing against the Phillies, and that he had done his job. Well, he's back in the minors anyway, and the Dodgers' bullpen has been pretty good recently - he probably should have just stayed with the Bucs.
