The Post-Gazette reports that the Pirates have promoted relievers Wil Ledezma and Steven Jackson to take the places of Brad Lincoln and Brendan Donnelly. Both Ledezma and Jackson will be available tonight.
Ledezma's big-league career has been a disaster, but he's pitched more than well enough at Indianapolis to earn another look. Jackson is pretty bad, but he'll probably be sent down in a few days when the Pirates need another starter. I guess the idea is that, for a series at Coors Field, it can't hurt to have a sinkerballer around, particularly compared to someone like Justin Thomas, who is a better pitcher but who gets more of his outs through the air.
