A quick update on the Pirates' draft picks:
-P- BUCCO Fans writes that the Pirates have signed 27th-rounder Kevin Kleis. Kleis is a gigantic righty pitcher out of a California community college; he's only 18, so I'd imagine he'll start out in the Gulf Coast League.
-P- 40th-rounder Harrison Cooney, a Florida high school righty, has signed on to pitch at Florida Gulf Coast University. He will talk with the Bucs next week, however, and remains open to the possibility of signing with them. It sounds like he'll be heading to the gulf coast of Florida, in any case.
