It's Ross Ohlendorf vs. Matt Garza in this one. Matt Diaz and Jason Jaramillo will start, as planned; Andrew McCutchen has been scratched with a sore neck after diving for a ball near the track yesterday, which means that the Bucs put Garrett Jones back in the lineup, and moved Diaz to left and Jose Tabata to center. McCutchen's injury doesn't sound serious, but this looks like a Sunday lineup if ever there was one.
UPDATE 2:48 PM: Ross Ohlendorf looked shaky in the first, but escaped without any damage. The Bucs scored in the second after a line-drive base hit by Pedro Alvarez, a nicely-placed single behind the runner by Matt Diaz, and an RBI single by on-base machine Ronny Cedeno. With the exception of a pretty bad at-bat by Jaramillo, that looked like some real baseball there.
UPDATE 3:09 PM: The Pirates score another on a series of singles by Jose Tabata, Garrett Jones and Pedro Alvarez. The Bucs now have seven hits, all singles, on Garza after three innings. After going 1-for-8 in the first two games, Alvarez is now 2-for-2 today. Ohlendorf struggled to command his fastball in the first inning, but has looked good since then, so hopefully the Bucs can maintain this lead. 2-0.
