Dodgers 7, Pirates 2

The Pirates' offense had 12 strikeouts and just six hits en route to a 7-2 loss against the Dodgers Friday, as Jeff Locke began his major-league career 0-2. Locke lasted three innings, giving up an RBI double down the line by Rod Barajas in the second and two more runs in the third. The score was 3-2 in the sixth after Alex Presley's solo homer, but then Dan McCutchen allowed three singles in the seventh, and Chris Resop gave up a three-run bomb to James Loney to put the game away for the Dodgers.
