Pirates place three in NYPL top 20 prospects

Baseball America ranked three members of this year's State College Spikes among the top 20 prospects in the New York-Penn League. The three were RHP Luis Heredia, ranked 2nd, OF Barrett Barnes (10th) and RHP Clay Holmes (15th).

The rankings followed the Pirates placing four players in the Gulf Coast League top 20.

UPDATE: Jim Callis posted an article listing the number of prospects each organization will have total on all the prospect lists. The Pirates have 14, which is tied for the most with several other teams. Seven have already been named, so you can try guessing the other seven. A player who made more than one list (Gerrit Cole will probably be on both the FSL and Eastern League lists, for instance) counts only once.
