After a handful of games with the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League, here's where the Pirates' representatives stand.

The Scottsdale team hasn't hit a whole lot, especially by AFL standards. Of the Pirates' hitters, Matt Curry has been the best, batting .333/.364/.429 so far. Behind him are Adalberto Santos (.167/.375/.250, with that weird OBP coming thanks to four walks against 12 at bats so far) and Gift Ngoepe (.000/.273/.000). Again, this is just from a handful of games, so it isn't as if this matters a whole lot right now.

Kyle Kaminska has made one start, striking out three batters and walking none over four innings but allowing three runs. Brandon Cumpton has allowed three earned runs in three innings. Vic Black has pitched two scoreless innings, striking out one. And Tyler Waldron has allowed one run in two innings.

Again, this is all a function of a tiny, tiny sample size, although a breakout along the lines of the one we saw from Robbie Grossman last year in the AFL doesn't look overly likely, in part because this collection of prospects isn't all that great. It would be fun to see someone get hot and make some noise this offseason, though.
