Dejan Kovacevic will discuss his reporting on the Pirates Navy SEALS story at 9:00 tonight. This is his idea. He invited Pirates bloggers to his site to have a roundtable discussion and I declined but offered to host it here, so here's where it will be.
A few ground rules here.
1) We're going to do this in the comments. Dejan has generously agreed to do this without any restrictions, but I will be more heavy-handed than usual in moderating the discussion, simply because we want to produce something that's clear. I will probably delete comments that wander off topic. It won't be personal, and it won't mean I thought your comment was a bad one.
2) In the same vein, everyone please do me a favor and recommend Dejan's comments, and only Dejan's comments, so that they turn green.
3) Please keep it civil. I know I've had my fair share of disagreements with Dejan, and many of you have taken issue with his recent work as well. You're welcome to discuss those things, but please be polite, or risk being banned.
Here is almost all of what I've had to say about this story.
SB Nation Pittsburgh piece in September
Here's Dejan's piece from last night
UPDATE: Tim Williams, Pat Lackey and Brian McElhinny will be among those joining us. I'm especially glad to have Tim here, due to the disputes about Dejan's reporting of the timetable of Gregory Polanco's injury.
