Padres beat writer Corey Brock tweets that the Bucs have traded 34-year old LHP Brian Tallet to the Padres. Tallet was signed as a free agent on February 3. I assume the return will be cash or a PTBNL. Tallet will report to AAA. His player page is here. Tallet retired the only batter he faced in spring training with the Pirates. He appeared in 18 games with St. Louis and one with Toronto last year and posted an ERA of 9.45 in 13.1 innings.
