Johan Santana and Erik Bedard try to out-left-arm the other at 7:05. We just finished an episode of the podcast previewing the series, and we'll hopefully have it up by game time, but in the meantime, I did some other preview-y stuff around the Mets blogosphere. (Mets fans are, it turns out, amazingly thorough about this stuff.)

Mets Merized

As noted in the comments, Josh Harrison is getting the start in RF tonight. It will be his first-ever start there. Clint Hurdle mentioned that this would have been the perfect opportunity to start Gorkys Hernandez, but wanted to keep Harrison's hot bat in the lineup. I'm a little surprised he didn't sit Pedro Alvarez and play Harrison at third with Santana on the hill.

The Pirates lineup:

Jose Tabata 7
Josh Harrison 9
Andrew McCutchen 8
Pedro Alvarez 5
Neil Walker 4
Casey McGehee 3
Clint Barmes 6
Michael McKenry 2
Erik Bedard 1
