Keep in mind that the game is at 7:05 Eastern, not 8:05. Rodriguez, of course, is making his Pirates debut. SB Nation Pittsburgh did an interview with an Astros blogger about Rodriguez; you can read that here.
Bixler isn't the only former Pirate who will be with the Astros this weekend -- the Astros have claimed Steve Pearce, who will be available Sunday. In the meantime, this is Galarraga's Astros debut; he's taking Rodriguez's place.

UPDATE 5:59: An explanation as to why Michael McKenry isn't in the lineup:
Rod Barajas is catching tonight, in part because Rodriguez is most comfortable speaking Spanish and Hurdle doesn’t want any communication breakdowns right out of the chute. But expect Michael McKenry to get plenty of time behind the plate with the lefty, too, as the season goes on.
It's interesting that McKenry's lack of playing time is starting to become news. Not-so-fun fact: Barajas hasn't had a hit in over a week.
