I missed this over the weekend, but Jonathan Mayo has his list of baseball's top 10 pitching prospects. (He lists 11 through 15 here.) Gerrit Cole and Jameson Taillon are listed at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. That seems about right for Taillon, but I was surprised to see Cole listed so low. The top four are Dylan Bundy, Taijuan Walker, Jose Fernandez and Zack Wheeler. I suppose you could make a case for Walker or Fernandez over Cole, but I'm not sure about Wheeler, whose issues with control ought to preclude him from being ranked so high. (Not that Wheeler's control problems are all that serious, but we're talking about the best pitching prospects in baseball here.)
