Baseball America: Pirates had best 2013 draft

Baseball America gives report cards for teams' 2013 drafts, with top fives in various categories. BA ranks the Pirates as having the best draft of any team, and ranks Austin Meadows and Reese McGuire all over the place in their top fives. Meadows finishes third in the Best Pure Hitter category, while McGuire ranks as the top overall defensive player. BA also says Meadows had the best pro debut of any high school draftee, and is fourth-closest to the majors of any high school pick. BA also ranks Pirates 16th-rounder Billy Roth as the fourth-best pick after the ninth round.
