The Blue Jays have claimed Pirates first baseman Clint Robinson, because of course they claimed Clint Robinson -- they claim everybody. It's like there's some Canadian-to-American roster-size conversion ratio that no one outside the MLB offices is aware of, and the Blue Jays get to carry 47 players, instead of just 40. They're amazingly active on the waiver wire.
Anyway, Robinson is nice depth to have, and he'll be missed. The Pirates didn't pay much to acquire him, so this isn't worth worrying much about, especially with Garrett Jones and Gaby Sanchez in the fold, but Robinson is a very good player to have in Triple-A.
