-- Altoona took an early 4-0 lead and hung on to edge Harrisburg, 5-4. Jarek Cunningham led the offense, going 3-4 with a double and his second HR. Gift Ngoepe added his first HR and went 2-3. Mel Rojas, Jr., went 2-4 with a double. Casey Sadler started and allowed three runs in six innings on six hits and a walk. He fanned two.
-- Bradenton dropped to 0-7, losing to Charlotte, 7-4. Nick Kingham got roughed up, allowing five runs in 4.2 IP on seven hits and two walks. He fanned three. Zac Fuesser bailed Kingham out of a two-out, bases loaded jam, but then allowed two runs of his own. Carlos Mesa provided most of the offense, driving in three runs with a double, a walk and his first HR in three ABs.
-- West Virginia's game with Asheville was suspended in the 5th with the Power leading, 5-0. Orlando Castro allowed just one hit and no walks in four shutout innings, with three Ks. Josh Bell was 3-3 with a double and is now hitting .310, although this game probably won't show up in his stats until it's completed. D.J. Crumlich was 2-3 with a double and Stetson Allie 1-3 with a double.
