The Pirates have sent Phil Irwin back to Indianapolis after his spot start, as expected, and have promoted Alex Presley to take his place. This gives the Bucs the full complement of position players on their bench while they wait to figure out if Wandy Rodriguez can make his next start.
It's nice to see Presley in Pittsburgh -- he has a better bat than Josh Harrison, and I'm glad the Pirates will go with only one utility infielder, rather than two, at least for a while. Also, Travis Snider has played well enough so far that I'm not worried about Presley getting in his way right now.
