Pirates promote Gregory Polanco to Altoona

The Pirates have promoted Gregory Polanco to Altoona, Jason Parks of Baseball Prospectus writes. Polanco, 21, hit .312/.364/.472 for Bradenton. This promotion is a little aggressive, maybe, but it's hard to argue with it, since just about everyone is in love with Polanco's tools and potential, and there's nothing really wrong with anything he's done at Bradenton. Also, the FSL All-Star Game is this weekend. Polanco will immediately become the Curve's best hitting prospect, and by a large distance.
