I will post a more complete recap of Pirates’ General Manager Neal Huntington’s Sunday afternoon presser this evening. But in light of David and Charlie’s discussion of the future of James McDonald on this week’s Bucs Dugout podcast, I am going to quickly post Huntington’s full response to a question regarding McDonald’s future role (if any) with the club:
Is James McDonald a starter? Or could he be considered for long relief?
As the clock ticks we’ll have to make the determination as to where James McDonald best fits in this group, on this club. Or, does he fit? And that’s a question to be answered ultimately by James McDonald and how he goes about it.
Obviously the interesting takeaway here is Huntington raising the possibility that McDonald might not have a future role with the club.
(More to come this evening)
