Pirates sign Austin Meadows

Jon Heyman and Travis Sawchuk tweeted that the Pirates have come to terms with their number one pick and the ninth overall pick, Austin Meadows an outfielder from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. The deal is reportedly around the slot level of $3.030 million.

Update: Jim Callis tweeted that Meadows' deal is worth $3,029,600. He becomes only the second of the top 11 picks to sign for full slot. The Pirates have $232,800 remaining to spend on over slot deals for the remaining unsigned top ten picks Adam Frazier (6th round) and Buddy Borden (7th round).
